Ongoing Events
Friday Art Cafe
Join us for our coffee house event with local artists. This event happens on the First Friday of the month 3 times a year. We feature artists in a variety of media - photography, oil and acrylic painting, sculpture, textiles and more - in a casual coffee house setting. Coffee and desserts are free and the evening makes a nice after-dinner, end-of-a-busy-week event! There is always live music by local and not-as-local talent. And did we say free?
Special Events
Stay tuned for more announcements coming up! A mini-festival and more concerts and art showings throughout the year. Be sure to check back or friend us on Facebook for updates!

Our History
City Arts Cafe is a ministry of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. Started on May 2, 2008 as "First Fridays Cafe," we wanted to highlight artists within our church congregation as well as our neighbors and friends from the community, giving them space to display their work and encourage each other in their talents and skills.
We believe that our God is a creative God, the Ultimate Artist, and delights in the heartfelt expression of His people. Our purpose is to encourage artists and musicians to hone their skills and craft, and to strive to be excellent in all we endeavor to do.
Participation in City Arts Cafe is open to the public and in no way affiliates artists or musicians with Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. GCPC and City Arts Cafe strive to host events for the community that bring us together in meaningful ways and build bridges to promote our mutual understanding and celebration of a rich, diverse culture. The arts are a perfect way of bringing us together and engaging in profound conversations about culture, society, and our beliefs about life and our God.
